Bonfire Mingle Post || OTA

Around the time the sun is starting to set in the early to mid-evening on Saturday, 11/12 as promised, Lydia will (hopefully with the help of Allison and a couple of others) have set up a bonfire on the beach. She's brought several bags of marshmallows, boxes of graham crackers, bars of chocolate, and s'more skewers so that s'mores can totally be a thing. There's also plenty of blankets and towels spread around, because she wants to be sure everyone is comfortable. Jill has offered to bring the alcohol.
Lydia can be found making her way around, greeting and mingling with anyone who arrives and throughout the night. She'll be doing her best to appear approachable so that anyone who maybe hasn't ever been to a bonfire and has questions will feel comfortable approaching her to do that.
[ ooc: please feel free to respond directly to this with your own top comments to play out stuff in here or you can use this as a prompt to make your own logs elsewhere, totally up to you. If you'd like to play with Lydia, please consider this her top comment. Mods, let me know if I need to make any changes to this.]

"Most places don't have air conditioning because we only get into the mid seventies one month a year." And yet, nothing seems more normal to her now. She smiles at that idea. "Even when they're irritating life lines," Audrey smirks.

Wrinkling her nose, Laura shakes her head. "Noooope," she says before laughing. "I would not do well in Maine, clearly, based on this conversation, specifically that point alone," she tells Audrey. Laura can always change into wolf form to keep warm but she wouldn't want to feel like she needed to in lieu of six layers of clothes and a parka or something. She's a California girl. Maybe they're from Northern California, but all the same...they're not that far north.
"Almost especially when they are," she jokes back.

"it makes you wonder if that's part of the reason we're here," Audrey responds. She's a police officer and before that an FBI agent. Figuring things out is sort of what Audrey does and since arriving in Haven, figuring weird things out is a full time job. It's one she loves though, one she's made to do. Mutiny would be interesting. She wonders if it would do any good or if whoever or whatever is responsible for this place would even care. Those responsible for Haven delighted in chaos and mutiny, unrest and upset.
Audrey smiles a little at that. "I think it's something you get used to. I'm sure I'd burn up in California." She'll be thinking that during the summer here. Right now, the weather is fairly perfect as far as she's concerned.
Audrey glances around and points out Duke. "That's my irritating lifeline. Duke Crocker. Be careful. He's charming."
