[So this is unexpected. Tina had been going through the door to the bathroom in the restaurant, when suddenly she wasn't there and was somewhere else entirely. And even more strangely, there's the nagging feeling at the back of her mind that something like this has happened to her before.

Thankfully the smartphone in her hands has something of an explanation, and so she heads there to claim her bedroom, though she can't stop herself from looking at EVERYTHING, and she's visibly nervous.]

Uhm, hi, hello... don't mind me, just, ah, going to find my bedroom... By the way, if anyone sees a boy in a burger costume or a girl with a pink bunny ears hat, or a woman with red glasses, or a balding guy with a mustache, let me know?

[And once she's there and registered, Tina does a double take as she opens the door to her bedroom, and just stands there, gaping.

Her room back home had been covered with horse posters, but she has her own little suite here that is positively PLASTERED with horses. The wallpaper, the decorations, the bedspread... it's a paradise.]

It's like a dream come true...

Misty's here, too?! [The excitement in her voice is palpable.]

She sure is. [ Stefan grins, flipping the video feed to better show off his kitchen. Vines are growing everywhere. ] The door's unlocked, so drop by whenever you're ready.

I'll be there soon. [She heads out the door and starts practically running, before she pauses, adding sheepishly-] Uhm, can I get some directions first, please?

Yeah, hang on. You should be in my building, so...

[ He gives her a quick rundown of how to reach his apartment from the elevator, including what floor it's on and how far it is. ]

[And Tina doesn't write back any more; it's not long before Stef will hear a knock on the door. Tina feels nervous, for some reason, and she's full of jittery energy, bouncing on the balls of her feet as she awaits a reply.]

[ The second he opens the door, Stefan rushes over to embrace Tina with all of his might. Still, he's careful not to completely squish her! Even now, it still doesn't feel entirely real.

Misty had been a dream. Tina... well. It gives him hope that the crew of his beloved ship had made it, safe and sound. ]

Hey, kiddo.

[Tina is surprised by the fierceness of the hug, but she returns it with equal vigor, feeling herself tearing up. She gives a nervous laugh.]

I didn't even remember you til 5 minutes ago, but I missed you, too. A lot.

It happens. [ He pulls back now, just to see her better. ] That's the funny thing about getting your memories back en masse. You don't usually know what you're missing.

[And she takes this chance to lift her glasses up and wipe her eyes.]

I think part of me knew something was missing, though. Like I said, I'd dream about space every now and then. But I was never sure how to bring it up... and really, even if I HAD remembered anything, I'm not sure even my family would have believed it.

They still love you. Even if it's hard for them to believe, they would've still wanted to support you. Trust me.

[ From what she's told him, her family was loud but loving, and those families would always come around. Even if they weren't so keen on the thought at first. ]

Yeah, that's true. I mean, it's not like I don't have an overactive imagination to begin with, so... they're kinda used to hearing outlandish things from me.

“Outlandish?” You're creative, and you see things differently sometimes, but that doesn't mean your stuff is weird or crazy.

Even the erotic fanfiction? [But this is said with an easy smile.]

Especially the erotic fanfiction.

[ . . . ]

We're gonna pretend I didn't just say that.

Fair enough. [And that earns him another hug.] And to be fair, they DO think it's weird, but they've never discouraged me from writing it, either. Louise and Gene even turned some of it into a play... well, their goal was to make it awful on purpose, so maybe that's not a good thing.

That's also kind of what siblings do. [ He laughs, ] But I'm not gonna discourage it either.

You've got all the time in the world while you're here. Might as well make the most of it.

I'm kinda glad for that. Not that I especially HATE working, and it's not like I have zero free time, but... we also have the restaurant open almost every day. I have that responsibility on me all the time, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't sometimes wish I didn't.

[ He nods. While he's never worked for a family business, he was captain - and he remembers how heavy that responsibility had been. ]

Well... that wish just came true. So relax here, and do your best when you're back home.

I'll enjoy it here just for the horse suite. It's like they read my mind.

Probably because they did. [ . . . ] It's less creepy here. I promise.

Uhhhh... "less creepy" how?

For one thing, I haven't seen or heard of Atroma since I came.

I'm glad for that. And I guess the lack of brain implants counts as a LOT less creepy to begin with. I'll take "seeing that I love horses and giving me a room decorated with them" over "forcing us to be in a reality show" any day.

Exactly. I don't know how they can read our minds, but it doesn't seem as sinister.

[ Nevermind that he would prefer nothing of the sort. At least it brought Tina back to him..? ]
