EVENT : Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Starting a week before Christmas and into the new year, snow will start to fall. Amazingly enough, the city of Itinere never truly becomes snowed in. The snow continues to fall, but it remains in pristine perfect condition on the ground and in the air. One might even call it a picturesque gift from those who allowed people into the city. If you were dreaming of a white Christmas, you got one. The city is even decked out in garland and lights and ribbons and bows. The town square has a massive Christmas Tree that towers over the city. Don't ask how many lights it took to decorate it, no one knows.
Tis the Season, Itinere.
As with most things in Itinere, there's always a darker side. What would be the fun in a straight forward snowfall effect, after all? Build a snowman. Take a sled ride. Slip and slide in the wintry goodness. Catch snowflakes on your tongue. Wait. Hold the presses. Anyone who ingests the snow in any way will find themselves anywhere from unable to tell a lie to completely unable to stop over-sharing on everything. The effectiveness of the snow will vary from person to person. The amount of time the person is infected will vary too. Our gift to you: the special snow.
ooc: The snow will stop falling and melt away by the end of January. As always, feel free to create your own adventures with this snow either in this post or make your own post in the IC comm. There is a plotting post HERE if you want to make use of it. Also, be sure to look at the post anyway for ooc information you need to know.

"Hi! Thanks," Prim chirps as Claire approaches. "I'm Prim. It is. I've never seen anything like this. We had snow where I'm from, but nothing like this." Somehow this snow and all the decorations and the tree and whatever else is out there are all so different. It's charming. Enchanting. Prim feels enchanted.
"Did you make a snowman, too?"
no subject
"I didn't make one. Just enjoying watching other people make them." She offers honestly. "We didn't have snow at all in South Texas. There was the random snow once or twice. But it was more slush than actual snow."
Her eyes squint at the pristine bright white around them. "Have you noticed it's not piling up? That's weird, right?"
no subject
She has no idea where or what South Texas is, but she'll take Claire's word for it. "We had snow in Twelve, but it's not like this. It did pile up." So yeah, that's weird.
"We should make a snowman together. It's more fun with someone else." If Claire wants to, that is.

"I'll gather some snow from over here." She moves a few feet away and bends in half to start shoveling snow toward Prim.

She meets Claire partway, rolling the snow she has towards her new friend.

She casts that strangeness aside though to listen to Prim as she continues to pile snow on top of snow. "Busy life got in the way, huh? That happens." When was the last time Claire had had time for herself without some catastrophe or another getting in the way? She couldn't remember.

“I guess so,” she says, finding it hard to lie, even about something as horrific as Panem. “It’s hard not to be busy with a rebellion and evacuating a whole district. When we resettled in Thirteen... we didn’t have a lot of time to ourselves.” But then again, Thirteen liked to micromanage, according to her mother.

She realizes she's saying a bit more than she usually would and so she stops, frowning.

She cants her head to the side. "So you came here from a society at war?"
no subject
"Yes. The rebellion turned into war against the Capitol. I guess it was a matter of time and it's better to overthrow President Snow while we can... But I still don't like how many people are getting hurt."
Like Katniss. And Peeta. And their entire team.
