Someone want to explain what the hell is going on here?

Jessica doesn't walk anywhere; she stalks and storms. She storms into The Houndstooth, orders a bottle of whiskey telling the bartender to just leave the bottle because "you'll have to see me less and I won't have to talk to you". She takes a swig from the bottle then turns her attention to the PDA, poking at it and scrolling angrily (can someone even scroll angrily? Jessica manages it) through the thing.
"You're fucking serious. What kind of rich asshole brought us here and if it's Tony Stark I'm going to beat him and his bodyguard's ass."

Jessica makes a noise that's some sort of grumble of agreement.
That gets Jessica's attention and she looks over to Trish. "Now we're on the same page. Your poison is just classier than mine. No surprise there."
She shakes her head at that question. "I went to a bookstore and an electronics store to do some research on this place, but I haven't been to the apartments." Her eyes narrow a little at Trish's suggestion. However, the truth is that Jessica isn't sure she wants to be alone here and she sure isn't ready to let Trish be alone here. She finally nods. "For a little while. Yeah. Sure."

Trish is very happy that her tactic paid off. With that out of the way, she can just worry about keeping Jessica there with her when the time comes to worry about it. In the meantime, she knows they can live together well because they've done it before. There's no one else she trusts more.
"Did you find anything important out?" She wonders, shifting topics so as not to give Jessica too much time to think on living with her again. "I didn't think about checking the bookstore."

Of course, she is. She knows Jessica too well. She's pretty sure that Trish is the only person that Jessica can live with. She's not a joy to cohabitate with. She is well aware of this.
Jessica likes the change of subject. It's less likely to turn into something she doesn't want to talk about. "Well, first of all, everything is free. Money isn't even an issue, apparently. Go figure that out. I've got to wonder who's fitting the bill for all this shit. Second, there's something called wish magic? Fuck if I know. Apparently, you wish on a star and the star grants the wish, or some bullshit." She fishes her phone out of her pocket and puts it on the bar. "That's provided by this place and is full of all the names of everyone in this place. I haven't had a chance to really give the list a look though."

"Stepping it up is easy when the liquor is free." She jokes. She'd known that things are free. It's something she's still trying to wrap her mind around.
"A star...?" It takes Trish a moment to realize that Jessica is emballishing. She draws a deep breath and rolls her eyes. Okay, Jess, you got her. She pulls her phone out of her pocket and looks it over with renewed interest. She finds the contact list and scrolls through the names, subconsciously making sure that her mother isn't here, that Will Simpson isn't here, that Kilgrave isn't here. That done, she looks through it more leisurely. "Lots of names I don't know. Oh! There you are. I should have thought to look through this before."

For the most part, Jess would drink lighter fluid if it'd get her drunk. Whiskey is just her poison of choice, but she also dabbles in bourbon and vodka. Jessica is glad that Trish is getting her life back together and she's proud of her for cleaning herself up. Jessica had made sure that she had the ability to do that without interference from her mother, but Trish had done all the hard work.
"Maybe I'll have to give scotch a shot," Jessica volleys back. That's always been way out of her league. She's not really buying the 'free' thing either. It's one of those things she'll have to see to believe. It'll definitely make her bad habit easier to foot.
Yup. Embellishing. She does that on occasion. The fact that Trish buys it a moment makes Jessica smirk. Jessica has been a little afraid to look for Kilgrave. He's dead back home. Gone and dead, but she'd heard those people can show up here as well. "I didn't think of it either until someone told me too." She's gotta let Trish off the hook for that. She's her girl.

She thinks about it a moment and then rolls her eyes and shakes her head. "It's also possible he was just showing off. But it made me think less of him anyway." Trish has always been very charitable with her money. Also, because of an irrational fear of running out of money when she might need it, she doesn't overspend on things.
"My apartment here is nice. Our apartment. It already has steel reinforced doors and extra security locks... which is nice." Jessica understands how Trish feels about her own security and why. "We'll stop at the front desk and get a second key card."
