[ There's a blonde on the screen. She's got her long, curly hair pulled over one shoulder and she's leaning in a little on her elbows. She waves at the screen. ] So, this is definitely not a book review. In fact, I'm sort of wondering what I'm going to do my vlogs over if it's not books. Maybe I'll just talk about them in a general sense. Books are good. Portable magic. Yadda yadda. it's not the same, is it? [ She sighs dramatically. ] Aslan and I are at the book store, in our proper bodies. Come see us at Subtext and have an iced coffee. Gracie out.
Action
For those that take Gracie up on her offer of books and iced coffee, they'll find her curled up in a big, squishy armchair near the front of the shop. She's reading a book and has an iced coffee at hand. There's a grey and white Scottish Fold cat dozing in the front window. She'd had a fun few days in Dani's body, zipping around, running into things and generally making a pest of herself, but she's grateful to be in her own body again.
When the bell over the door rings out, Gracie looks up with a smile on her face. "Hey, have a look around and if I can help you with anything, let me know."
Unless, of course, she knows you, then she'll be out of her chair, coffee abandoned on an end table to dole out hugs.

[ Meaning that he tended to worry about her a lot because of her kind heartedness. The Complex was not a place for nice people to the point that it would piss Alcide off that they were there. ]
Sounds like this place can be not so nice too though... maybe not in the normal day-to-day, but still.

Most days, it's nice. I like it. Other days...I stay inside with my cat. I hope this place is better than the one you were at.

[ It makes him sad, of course. But maybe that can be friends here too. He hopes so, at least. ]
So since I know about you, I guess I'll tell you that I'm from Louisiana - if the accent didn't tell you that. I worked contracting. Nothin' all that special. I'm a wolf. [ He knows he can tell her this because he'd mentioned it to the other Gracie. ] Like, I can shift into one. And you knew it then and kept that secret so now you know again.
Re: locked - network;
[ Gracie smiles at him. ] But I'm getting to know you, so that counts for something, right?
[ That's what she's thinking. He tells her about himself and she nods a little, trying to commit it all to memory. Of course, her brain sort of shudder stops when he comes to the wolf part. She knows that super powers are real. After all, she had some for a few days, but it's still a bit of a shock hearing about it.] Thank you, for telling me. I'll keep it secret here, but I'm not sure it's necessary. There are lots of people with lots of different powers here. However, it's yours to tell so mum's the word from me.

[ As expected, she takes the wolf news in stride just as she had in the Complex. Alcide is grateful for that. ] Thanks. Yeah, where I'm from people have started hunting us and that makes me a little hesitant to get it out there to strangers. Not everyone's cool with it and I get that. Easy to be scared of what's different from you.
You think this place is collecting people who are different? [ But from what he knows Gracie is human, just human, so that might make his question null and void.
It's just surprising to hear that he's in yet another place where people with different powers are. ]
Re: locked - network;
I've seen way too much here to think you're crazy. You seem nice and if other me liked you then I think I have pretty good taste.
[ The weirdness of both places makes it easy to believe that sort of thing. If he'd been more aggressive, she might have worried or been scared, but Alcide seems anything but aggressive. He seems more puppy than wolf, which probably isn't a comparison he wants made. ] When you start being threatening, I'll start being scared. [ She smiles at him when she says that. ]
I...don't know? I'm not. Different, I mean. I'm just plain old human. There are a lot of people here who are, but not everyone I don't think. Maybe it's just collecting interesting people? Not that I think I'm that interesting, but I do some pretty popular vlogs back home, so maybe they confused youtube popularity with interesting?

I think you're interesting. [ He has to throw that out there. It's true. ] It's still hard to believe this place is so nice without a noticeable catch.
Re: locked - network;
[ Gracie doesn't mean it maliciously and it's kind of impressive that he can go from not very intimidating to super intimidating in the blink of an eye. Of course, until she gets to know Alcide, she might think it's scary instead of impressive. When he says she's interesting, she smiles brightly, genuinely pleased by his compliment. ]
Thank you. I think you're interesting too, which is probably a 'no duh' sort of thing considering...[ that he's a werewolf.] Yeah, I know what you mean. I keep expecting a bill for everything I've used or eaten. I guess maybe it's an apology for us being stuck here? Hey, we're sorry you were inadvertently, or advertently, kidnapped but we're going to make everything free and posh for you. That sort of thing, you know?
