President Cell Phone (he hates that nickname, but then...Jane so he doesn't much have room to talk) called a meeting. It's about time they properly saw Monmouth in and got this quest off the ground. Really, Gansey just wants to see all of his people in one place. He's still a bit unsettled about everyone's position in the city. Blue has moved into Monmouth, which Gansey likes, but it's also changed the dynamic of things, or at least he thinks that's what's changed the dynamic. Ronan has been by Monmouth and rattled through his room, taking stock Gansey thinks, but he hasn't stayed the night. It's not unusual for Ronan; there are nights back in Henreitta that his bed goes unslept in as well. Adam hasn't ever lived at Monmouth, but Gansey wants to give him one last offer and he wants to make certain that everyone knows they're welcome to stay here.
Not to mention the quest. He's not certain if it's the same quest to find Glendower or whether it's a different quest, to find a way out of here so they can return to the Glendower quest. Either way, it's something for Gansey to research, something for him to take notes on and something for him to occupy his time with. It's an important facet of Gansey. He's secretly (not so secretly) an obsessed individual that can easily fall into depression without something to focus on, something productive to obsess about.
In any case, meeting. Yes. There's pizza and Jane has cleaned up a bit. Gansey had to run her out of the main room because things are scattered just the way he likes. He's shuffling through papers on his desk and making notes, mint leaf between his teeth when everyone starts to arrive. He'll put that aside to mingle.
[Open to Ronan, Adam, Noah, Blue and Gansey. Mingle style. I'll probably do a formal 'let's get this meeting started' gansey thing further down. No particular posting order. Let me know if you want Ronan or Gansey in particular, otherwise...have fun? I just wanted TRC buds things]

Just like now.
Everything is perfect. The way his shoulder presses in to her own, the tickle of his bangs against her forehead, the way he looks at her. Blue never thought she'd feel so fanciful and so alive at just a touch. But he makes her heart beat fast when he tells her that it feels right to have her there.
And then she's shoving him away as hard as she can and standing and looking at him with dismay on her face. "The loo?"

He gets far too nervous around Blue, wants so badly to make a good impression with her and for her. That's the reason he only sticks his foot in his mouth with her. Though, he's been known to stick his foot in his mouth many times with Adam as well; while the impression he wishes to make on Adam is very different from the one he wishes to make on Blue, they make him nervous because they are both unlike anyone that Gansey has ever met.
Everything is perfect, and that's a lot of pressure to sustain, which is probably why Gansey said exactly the wrong thing. He didn't do it on purpose, but he cracked under the pressure of keeping this perfect moment perfect. Maybe one day she won't do that to him (but then he sort of hopes she always does this to him).
Then she's shoving him away, nearly knocking him down; he catches himself with his hands, looking up at her with genuine surprise, only realizing what he did when she repeats his words. In fact, there's a stuttering moment where he's not even certain then, he's wondering if she doesn't know what he means by loo. He manages to quell that explanation just in time.
"I only meant that it's one of the things you do here, besides me liking having you here. Not that cleaning the loo is why I like having you here. Adam fixes things, Noah sits up with me at night, Ronan...doesn't actually do anything here. You make Monmouth better."
He's not sure whether he's still putting his foot in his mouth or not, but he's earnest and it's clear he wants to smooth things over.

No matter how she makes him nervous, it's no reason to compare her to a maid. She's not one of his servants in his parents' big fancy house near Washington D.C. and yet that very insinuation that she's here to clean the loo (not even the toilet but the loo!) makes he feel like she's even less than that. Not good enough to be a friend, not good enough to be a maid. She stares at him in anger and in shock as too many thoughts swarm though her head.
He tries his best to explain but she's still too busy being angry at him to really pay all that close attention.
"I am not here to clean your bathroom or any other part of Monmouth Manufacturing! If you want a housekeeper so badly, you can just find someone else to live here." Her arms cross over her chest, an indignant frown on her face as she pauses for breath. "I'm sure there's someone out there desperate enough for the job. But I am not going to be one of them."
It's only then that some of his words seem to sink in. She makes Monmouth better. Is that a compliment or just another statement of fact, much like cleaning the loo.
"Better like I make things louder?"

He endures the lecture and the tongue lashing the same way he does when it's his mother. He's well aware that he's inadvertently turned his words into lethal weapons again and he deserves her ire. He hadn't meant to compare her to a maid. He hadn't meant to devalue her or insult her and yet, just like the first night he met her, he had.
It's a bit of both? It's statement of fact because it's irrefutable in his mind. However, it's also a compliment.
He shakes his head at her question. "No. Better like..." he sighs, struggling for words that won't provoke her again. "Better like sunlight makes things better." He looks up to her, his eyes searching hers as he wonders if he messed up again.
