EVENT : Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Starting a week before Christmas and into the new year, snow will start to fall. Amazingly enough, the city of Itinere never truly becomes snowed in. The snow continues to fall, but it remains in pristine perfect condition on the ground and in the air. One might even call it a picturesque gift from those who allowed people into the city. If you were dreaming of a white Christmas, you got one. The city is even decked out in garland and lights and ribbons and bows. The town square has a massive Christmas Tree that towers over the city. Don't ask how many lights it took to decorate it, no one knows.
Tis the Season, Itinere.
As with most things in Itinere, there's always a darker side. What would be the fun in a straight forward snowfall effect, after all? Build a snowman. Take a sled ride. Slip and slide in the wintry goodness. Catch snowflakes on your tongue. Wait. Hold the presses. Anyone who ingests the snow in any way will find themselves anywhere from unable to tell a lie to completely unable to stop over-sharing on everything. The effectiveness of the snow will vary from person to person. The amount of time the person is infected will vary too. Our gift to you: the special snow.
ooc: The snow will stop falling and melt away by the end of January. As always, feel free to create your own adventures with this snow either in this post or make your own post in the IC comm. There is a plotting post HERE if you want to make use of it. Also, be sure to look at the post anyway for ooc information you need to know.

She spotted Prim outside earlier, which is why she comes bearing two steaming cups of hot cocoa. "Prim?" Effie calls. "I brought you some cocoa. I thought it might help warm you up."

Whoops she's probably going to be in full-on ramble mode. Welp.

"I suppose they couldn't find any other way to make Thirteen more miserable," Effie sniffs. Forever and always the most reluctant of all the rebels. "I remember your sister never had cocoa before she was a tribute. It's always been one of my favorites."
Don't worry Prim, the way the snowflakes keep landing in Effie's cocoa she's likely going to have some interesting things of her own to say.

"I think I can see why," Prim says with amusement. "I tried something called funnel cake during the festival and it was sweet like this." She'd liked it, but it wasn't something she could have a lot of. Taking a small sip of the cocoa now, she thinks this might be another one like that.
"Thirteen wasn't that bad compared to living in Twelve, but I don't think they would have kept anything sweet like this. They did have to ration a lot. I'm glad we don't have to do that here."
Oh well, so much for keeping things to herself.

It would be hard to not outdo Thirteen on most areas, since as far as Effie's concerned the district is based on bleakness and conformity, neither of which she cares for. "You know, this place is beginning to grow on me." Sure, she'd been fussy about it first but her apartment is nice Effie doesn't have to really do anything that she doesn't want to do. So all in all, not so bad. "It has it's charms."

Effie would never have survived in any of the other Districts. She would never have been able to manage. Regardless, Prim is happy to have her here now. "It really isn't so bad. It's better than Twelve. I just wish Katniss, Peeta, and some of the others could be here, too."
