I. MRS. O'LEARY'S ADVENTURE
[Lease laws. There is a big question to sit on Percy's mind today. See when he wakes up this morning, he finds his best furry friend sitting there at the edge of his bed staring at him, tailing wagging and knocking over anything in its path. Things crash, break against the floor even. He knows the only answer is to get her outside for a while.
And that's when the question hits him. Does she even need a lease? Would people care? Thing is Mrs O'Leary is an excitable dog and hungry one at that. Her nose can probably smell anything delicious a mile away, and with how energetic she was nothing was really holding her back from running up to the shop windows with food on display and licking the glass. Not really anything was stopping her from running up to people who carry food with them. Large red dog eyes would stare down as if asking permission to have what she sees. 'Pretty, pretty, please?' they could almost say.
On top of that, she wasn't exactly a poodle. Sure, back in his world, normal people saw her as one all the time, but he knows monsters here exist without mist covering up their true forms. His worry is if anyone coming face to face to her can mistake her as unfriendly. Add to that she was giant as tank with a gait powerful enough to make the ground vibrate...a little. And well. There's a concern he has with people seeing her as the hell hound she is. Even with her friendly appearance and tongue always hanging out to prove her innocence right away.
That in mind, Percy tries to stay mindful of anyone they come across on their walk and keeps up with her as best he can. In most instances he comes up running a little bit behind her with a wave to anyone the girl comes across because she's fast. He's watching out for her, too.]
Hey, hope she didn't scare you. Mrs. O'Leary here is just hungry, I bet. [He also gets the feeling she is playing 'follow the leader' with him in her exploration of this world, too. But it's okay. It's nothing he can't cope with.
He pats Mrs. O'Leary whom barks agreeably in response, when he catches up.] See! This girl's not going to eat you or anything. She's all friendly. No bite.
[Catching his breathe, he guesses maybe she does need a lease if she keeps him chasing her like this though. But also thinks food would be good to try appeasing her dogginess first. Last thing he wants is limiting any fun the ol' girl's having when they only just reunited.]
II. YOUR ADVENTURE
[Percy and Mrs. O'Leary will pretty much be everywhere around town from today on and not very hard to spot. They can be found doing things like trying to break the world's longest dog walk record, playing fetch with toys the size of car tires, or trying see who can eat the most hot dogs. You choose, folks.]

[So in the realm of possibilities it's more likely humans will think he is crazy for holding one-sided conversations with horses. Often he had to tell people what they were saying so it wasn't completely bizarre. Mrs. O'Leary is a not a horse he can translate but she seems to understand Dani. The pet means she's not forgotten and she pants happily at being remembered, rubbing her head against the half fae for more.]
It's sort of like an unofficial where I'm from, too. We have this Camp. Two, actually. Lots of half bloods like me go there. Is that what your Sid-he Seers are like that? [Sidhe is a funny word, he thinks. Excuse the small mispronunciation. Also if they're not like that, he wonders if they are more like the Hunters of Artemis. He muses about the irony of how mythical parents are absentee ones too.]
Of course. I don't get to see her a lot, but that's probably a good thing for her life expectancy. My mom should be able to grow old and be happy with Paul.

The Sidhe-Seers mostly stay at an abandoned Abbey outside of Dublin. [ It's okay to mispronounce Sidhe. Even some Irish folk mispronounce the old Gaelic, some of the language having been forgotten before it should have been. Dani knows Gaelic well, although she doesn't speak it all that often. ] I don't stay there so much anymore. Broke out on my own cause it wasn't safe for awhile. It's safe now though. Things are just different. [ Much like leaving a high school and then going back after some time, she imagines. Things wouldn't be the same. Dani never went to high school though... or any school. ]
That sounds like a romantic tale if I ever heard one. Growin' old and happy with someone. [ Sadly, Dani doesn't expect to live to be very old. The life expectancy of Sidhe-Seers isn't that high. Sure, Dani is stronger than most so her chances are better, but still... ] Sounds like you find yourself in trouble a lot too if you gotta stay away from people you care about.

That like a church? [Just to clarify. In his time here, Percy has slowly come to realize that he was probably and purposely raised without modern religious ties due to his Greek ties. It's why he has to ask at all.] You broke out? How does needing to break out mean that it was safe at all? [That he has to ask too. Normally, the places he is used to at least, don't keep you there against your will or without parental consent. It's a lot High School if it were a boarding school or the Camps he knew for Half Bloods. He has more questions, but he'll her answer the first two first or else risk getting them both confused.]
It seems that way. Paul's a good guy and I have a little sister on way. My mom's pretty happy with him. [That goes for him. He can't be sure he'll live to an old age being who he is but he'll fight every day he has to to try. His girlfriend, Annabeth, wouldn't have it any other way. She'd probably kill him again if he didn't.] Unfortunately. I get to see her every so often, at least.

The abbey is pretty amazing when she stops to think about it, which she doesn't often do. First, Dani rarely stops long enough to do much. She's a professional at running. And second, when you're around or in something for an extended period of time, you forget to stop and think about how cool it is. All the newness wears off and the cool, tiny details that make it special and unique begin to blend into the background. ]
Well, when Ro was in charge, she was kind of our prison keeper, took control of everyone and everything for her own purposes that wasn't good at all. Only we didn't see it 'til it was too feckin' late. Once I killed her, was safe for the Sidhe-Seers to stay there again. Get rid of the infection and the body can function properly again. Make sense?
[ Dani's eyes brighten again. ] Gonna have a sister? She gonna have powers like you? Oh. No. Not unless Paul's a... wait. I'm confusin' meself.

[If he got to see it, too, he'd probably find it pretty fascinating, but then find something else that else. His lips frown for a slit second, but otherwise he nods.]
Makes perfect sense. I don't know if it's the same but a lot of monsters I knew did that to old friends of mine. They tricked them into believing ending the world was for the better and it was too late to save them. The big boss was finally beaten the guy he was using, though. [That's still sort of Percy's biggest regret: not being able to help Luke.
She is really close to getting her facts all straight and Percy smiles back because it is exciting to think he'll be a big brother.] Yes, soon, I think. I've been here long enough that she would have been born by now. No, she won't have powers. Paul's a normal dude. And, honestly, I'm glad. My little sister can go through life without worrying about monsters.

As it is, she's been staying in hidey-holes all over the city of Itinere, not trusting the 'free' apartments. At least with her hidey-holes, all of them stocked with food and clothes and weapons, she's in control of them, not the elusive beings in charge of this place.
She likes that Percy doesn't balk at her admission of killing Ro. In hindsight, it might have been better for her to be less free with that information. Hindsight is a feckin' a-hole, she thinks. But Percy seems to understand why she did it and that makes her dig Percy even more. He's a cool cat, for sure. ]
There's always casualties in war. [ It's a fact. Dani feels those deaths now like she hadn't when Ro had been pulling her strings. It's hard to care about people when you're fighting a war. ] Sorry you lost some folks too.
Although I gotta say it sounds like you're the kind'a person I want on my side in a feckin' fight, the likes of what this place has sometimes. Monsters don't stand a chance against us, eh?

[besides family and friends, of course. but a part of him doesn't wish them here strongly enough because then he'd be making them feel almost as torn from home as he does. sometimes.
it's an unfortunate part to being a half blood that he understands why anyone would have to kill for the better good. while he'd rather there be a way to resolve everything without killing, that's not an option all the time. his expression puts on a forced but understanding smile.] Guess the way I deal with it is hoping they're in a better place now.
Oh, yeah? They definitely would be asking for a fight with people like us.
