Closed to Lydia Martin
Derek isn't sure what to make of this place. The idea of multiple dimensions seems far-fetched, despite the fact that he's a werewolf, his girlfriend is a banshee, and they live in a town that has a supernatural beacon calling any number of creatures from myth and legend to it. Whatever is going on, his number one priority is ensuring Lydia's safety and he's on his way to find her now. It doesn't take him long to pick up her scent and he tries to understand how it's possible that she's been here for several days when he saw her an hour ago.
The town itself is idyllic, or would be, if he chose to visit instead of randomly finding himself here. He supposes he should be grateful that Lydia is here. She's a grounding force and her presence will keep him from attempting to find whoever is responsible and torturing them for information.
When he spots Lydia, he smiles in spite of the circumstances. She is beautiful as always and it still amazes him that they are together. Their relationship had such an inauspicious beginning and the rest of the pack clearly doesn't understand it, but it just works and that's all that matters to Derek. He jogs the last few feet to her and greets her by wrapping his arms around her and kissing her cheek. He doesn't see or smell any injuries, so it seems she is okay, at least physically.

Seeing him approaching, Lydia smiles in spite of herself, feeling a little more relief than she thinks she ought to, all things considered. She starts to move forward, meeting him in the middle and wrapping her arms around him, clinging to a hug for a moment before she feels him kiss her cheek. Lydia turns her head just so and catches his mouth for a chaste kiss in addition.
"I don't know what's going on, but I'm glad you're here, bae," she whispers, knowing he'll hear it even if she isn't loud enough to be heard over the passing cars in the street by a regular person. Derek's anything but regular and the fact that they work is...weird to think about, but it is what it is, and he makes her happy; that's the important part. "I've met a few people, they were...I guess, as helpful as they could be? I was missing you guys, but...at least the people here seem nice. And nothing's tried to kill me in the past couple of days?"

"Place looks nice enough," he remarks, keeping his voice low as well. "Like the kind of place you'd want to go on vacation." If people like him took vacations. He didn't really count his time with Cora in South America as a vacation though. "Have you sensed any danger?"

Shaking her head, Lydia looks back up at him with something serene in her eyes. "No," she admits. "Nothing. Not a single thing. The voices are even really quiet, it's actually...kind of nice..." she adds, her cheeks warming and going slightly pink at the thought of being somewhat relieved to be in a place like this. She's sure that sooner than later, she'll be missing everyone too much to feel the same, but for right now, it's kind of a welcome respite.

"So, the PDA I found in my pocket said there's an apartment here for me. I'm guessing that's where you've been staying?" He assumes they have their own apartments, but truth be told, he prefers to stay with her, just in case there is some danger that hasn't presented itself yet.

"Yeah, they're actually really nice apartments. Try not to freak out, sweetie, because there's actual furniture. It's really shocking," she teases, stepping back and taking his hand so that she can lead him inside.

He gives her hand a squeeze. "So, are you up for sharing?"

At the squeeze, she looks up at him briefly. "You want to live with me?" she asks, a little surprised, as she leads him into the apartment building.

"I think it makes sense to stick together," he says. "Just in case there are hidden dangers lurking that we haven't encountered yet."

It's a pretty standard apartment with decent furniture. He supposes that if he's going to be magically whisked away to a strange place, there are worse places he could end up.

Lydia's head tilts slightly so that she can actually look up at him. "So...about that ravishing..."
