Closed to Raven Kids
Who: Raven kids
When: The entire month of July
Where: Mostly the Barns, but I'm okay with it being used for anywhere in town
Warnings: Let's just make it R for everyone's sake. It might have everything in it.
With the lights out, the month of July takes the shape of some sort of weird slumber party. During the day everyone goes about their business. Adam works, Gansey researches, Ronan bugs the ever living crap out of Adam. Noah and Blue do whatever Noah and Blue do. Ronan suspects they’re still adjusting to this place. He knows it’s got to be a big adjustment for Noah. It’s probably not an easy one for Blue either who’s more accustomed to being around the craziness of 300 Fox Way rather than the craziness of Monmouth.
He knows it’ll be awkward at first, but when the electricity fails Ronan suggests that everyone stay out at The Barns. There’s plenty of room and several things that don’t use electricity to work like toasters and one shower that never runs out of hot water. Ronan feels better having the people he cares about under one roof, particularly when they’re not sure what the hell else is going to happen. Gansey agrees readily enough, always happy to have all of his people close by.
While The Barns allow everyone the space they need so that no one is piled up on top of each other, it is lacking in bedrooms. There’s the bedroom that Niall and Aurora shared, Matthew’s bedroom, Ronan’s bedroom and Declan’s bedroom (they can draw straws for that one). Ronan didn’t give anyone (including Adam) a vote when he claimed his room for he and Adam. He told the others they could sleep wherever the hell they liked. The couch in the den was pretty damn comfortable.
The Barns are also cluttered with dream things. The house, for the most part, contains the bits and pieces that function properly. Aurora had seen to that. However, there’s an entire barn full of frustration dreams for everyone to explore. The animals still lie sleeping where they’d been when Niall had died. For the most part, Ronan doesn’t mind his friends picking through the things and exploring. Niall’s office in one of the barns is locked and it’ll stay that way. He’d prefer that no one touch the mask on the wall that he’d had that awful dream, but it’s really only off limits to Adam (who knows that by now).
Explore, settle in. Ronan really is happy to have everyone here, to be able to share this with everyone.
[You’ve all read the book. Feel free to make shit up about the Barns. If you’ve got questions, ask and I’ll do what I can to answer them. Treat this as a month long mingle. Play with it and have fun. Adam’s birthday thread down below]

"They're ... alive." Bright and blond and beautiful. He doesn't know. "When I was alive, I think Whelk was dating my girlfriend, too."
no subject
"That's a start," Ronan answers. He scowls at Noah's next words, getting angry on Noah's behalf. "Anyone tries that shit here I will beat them into the ground."
Of course, he will. He smirks, relaxing a little. "'Least you don't have to worry about that with me."
He doesn't have to worry about Ronan murdering him either.Best, best friend ever? Ronan thinks so.

"Are you totally gay?" he finds himself asking, not out of rudeness, but overt curiosity. "Like, you've always liked boys?"
no subject
Ronan is taken aback at first. He's never really discussed his sexuality with anyone. The brief back and forth he and Kavinsky had done hadn't been a discussion. It's obvious that Noah is curious rather than trying to be rude and Noah is his best friend. After a moment he nods then shrugs. "Yeah. I just don't get girls. Like...the way Gansey looks all gaga at Blue, I know there's got to be something about her, but I don't get it." His eyes flicker over Noah and he smirks. "Don't worry. I don't get a hard on looking at you."
Because he figures that whether his friend asks it or not, he's got to be wondering.

"I don't get girls either," he admits, ducking his head a little with a smile. Jill and Lucy confuse him greatly. But then he doesn't exactly get guys either. The whole "Noah doesn't get people" thing might be the best way to put it.
"And you love Adam, don't you?" he asks, lifting his head to look over at his best friend.
no subject
Ronan smirks at that. "People are fucking crazy. No one actually says what they want or what they think. It'd be a hellva lot easier if they did." In short, Ronan doesn't really get people either.
He glances over at Noah again, struggling with whether he wants to let himself be that vulnerable. Finally, after a long moment, he nods. "Yeah. I'm not sure it matters though."
Because Ronan doesn't think that makes Adam okay with this thing between them. He's not sure that even the fact that he's pretty sure Adam loves him makes it okay.

One advantage to being dead was that Noah could watch a lot: he was a very good observer. He knows that Ronan does this all or nothing. To be loved by Ronan Lynch, Noan figures, is to be well and truly loved.

If Ronan could love with less of himself, maybe he'd try it, but he can't and more importantly, he doesn't think he wants to.
no subject
"Has anyone been said anything?"
no subject
It means a lot that Noah would stand up for them, that Noah wouldn't care. That Noah hasn't blinked an eye, much less let this affect thier friendship. Of course, maybe like Gansey, Noah has known about Ronan all along.

Declan is an asshole; even Noah knows that. And while he doesn't know a lot about Adam's family, he assumes that Adam's dad is an asshole.
In other words, Adam shouldn't care what those people think.
"He'll come around," he offers.
