So far, being Blue Sargent, police intern is about as exciting as being Blue Sargent, waitress. She wasn't exactly certain what she had been expecting when she had opted for the career change. Some kind of excitement at least. Something hopefully on level with how she spent the last two years of her high school career in Henrietta. They lived in a magical world where wishes actually came true and monsters often invaded the streets. There had to be something. Something where she'd learn how to keep the bad guys in line or solve the mysteries that kept the older, hardened detectives up at night.
Instead, it turns out that being an intern is exactly as boring as being a waitress. In the past couple of months, Blue's lost track of the number of hours spent sitting around the station doing absolutely nothing. She busies herself by helping with any paperwork Audrey needs done, or fetching cups of coffee (and the occasional cup of tea) for them both. It's a big station, and typically empty. Still, she can't help perking up with excitement any time someone new comes through the door. There has to be something more to this gig. Seriously. At this point, she'd even take searching for a lost cat.
Aside from her new job, every other aspect of her life has remained routine. No one's died or been harmed in any way. All her raven boys are still in Itinere, her small family happily whole. Monmouth Manufacturing is here, as is the Barns. Although she misses 300 Fox Way, misses Maura and all the other women of the She spends time with Gansey, happily content in their relationship, but also spends time alone. Her bicycle provides her with an easy way to get around Itinere and while the weather stays nice, she intends to make the most of it.
And if she stumbles across some kind of crime scene along the way? It'll just make the day all the better.

After a coma-like sleep that had come after too many sleepless nights, Gansey awakens to find Blue gone from Monmouth. That's no surprise; she stays as busy as he does. He showers, grabs a couple of cups of Earl Grey from the cafe and heads toward the police station where he knows Blue has been interning. He walks in the station, pausing just over the threshold then continues on into the station. He holds up both cups as a greeting and walks over to kiss Blue on the cheek.
"I think I slept close to fourteen hours," he says a bit sheepishly and takes a sip of his tea.

Audrey had told him about Blue and when Rick spots her, he thinks it's a good idea for an introduction. His boots click over the linoleum, and a man who looks like he might've stepped out of a western film, minus the hat, walks over to Blue's desk. His icy blue eyes take her in, wary and assessing. Rick has a belted holster about his hip with weaponry at the ready; a pistol, a knife and a machete. His face has old scars, two on his brow and one on his cheek.
After a nod of a greeting, he stops close enough but not too close. "I'm Rick Grimes. Thought it might be good for you and me to meet seeing as we both work here." Straight and to the point.

Hey, wanna meet for lunch at the deli in a half hour?

She's in the middle of reorganizing a stack of paperwork, out of idle boredom more than anything else, when Gansey walks in. She looks up as he approaches and offers a smile that grows a little wider when he kisses her cheek.
"You wouldn't if you slept normal hours," Blue points out in between sips of her tea, her tone matter of fact. "You probably should have slept longer."

Most of the time her organization makes sense to Gansey (after all, she's looked at his journal and his research often enough to know how his mind works), he doesn't mind that she organizes the paperwork and there's a good deal of it because while Gansey doesn't have Ronan's distain for all things digital and electronic, he does prefer paper (things he can touch and feel) to digital sources.
"Mmmm, I would if I could," he assures her. "Have you eaten yet? I was thinking of ordering out."

Audrey chuckles softly at Blue's question. "In theory, much more. However, in practice, this place doesn't leave much for a police chief to do." She looks up at Blue, taking a sip of her coffee. "Besides, I needed the air. According to Duke, I spend too much time here."
