[Derek is used to weird things happening, but opening the door to his loft and finding himself in what appeared to be some kind of seaside village was a whole new kind of weird, as was discovering he has a PDA he's never seen.]

Uh, can anyone explain exactly where I am? I've never heard of Itinere and I'm not sure how I got here?

Apparently the only way back is through it and I couldn't find "my" door again when I looked. I've been here a few days...but I still don't know a whole lot about it. People are trying to be helpful, but it's hard to wrap my head around.

I'm at the apartment building the note said to go to. I've been staying here. Where are you?

( She feels kind of bad for feeling relieved to see him, if she's honest. )

A few days? How... I just saw you a couple of hours ago.

[the more information he gets, the less it makes sense]

I'm in the center of town, I guess? I just started walking, looking for something familiar. I can head that way.

( That...is confusing. )

Yeah...I've been here a few days. I don't know...I don't really know how it all works, yet. I'm getting there, but that...yeah, I've got nothing.

( She's already starting out of her apartment to head outside. )

I'll meet you halfway.

Okay then. Well, we'll figure it out, I guess.

[ Gansey is working at his desk in Monmouth when the PDA crackles to life. He glances over at it then picks it up, a friendly look on his face, but not a smile. ]

Most likely you walked through a door in your world and it opened up here. I'm Gansey. I've been here for a few months, which is probably not what you want to hear, but we are looking for a way out.

Where exactly is here?

I apologize. I thought you'd cleared that up at least as much as such things can be cleared up. It's called Itinere. As far as I can tell, and I should forewarn you I"m far from an expert on Quantum Physics, it seems to be a different dimension. The blue door you walked through acts as the portal and for some, it's one way. Though I've heard tell that it works both ways for others.

I was hoping for more useful information, but I suppose that's in short supply around here.

I apologize. I had thought that useful. Perhaps you ought to be a bit more specific about the sort of information you're searching for? My friends and I have spent a great deal of time here researching this place.

Where exactly are we? Geographically? Is this still the United States? Or somewhere else? Anything more concrete about the situation?

Right. That's a bit--unclear at the moment. I don't think we're on Earth and it's possible we're not even in the same solar system or dimension. Outside of that, I don't think anyone knows much. As for concrete details about the situation: you're provided with an apartment upon arrival. You'll just have to go the building and the key. Things seem to run on wish magic, so it might be wise to adhere to the old 'be careful what you wish for' adage. Everything we could want or need is provided, but we can't, apparently, bring people here and the door you came through might or might not send you back home.

Ten months. It's been far from dull.

Of course it's not dull. What sort of fun things should I be prepared for?

We are recently recovering from being a dystopian society. There were a few days where we were trapped in each others' nightmares. We had a visiting Carnival as well. That one was actually fun.
